Literature Text

I ran for a while and when I saw a walker coming towards me I scurried up a tree. I Looked between the tree branches and saw a old woman fighting off at least 20 walkers. I jumped off onto a walker and put a bullet in its head. She looked up at me, either surprised she wasn't the only survivor or that I was helping a complete stranger.
Emily spun around the corner and started knifing them, and took out double what the old woman had.
"Nice of you to show," I smirked as I avoided guts splashing in my face.
"I couldn't let my favourite brunette go off and kill herself now could I? Who is the old hag?" she replied as she shot one right between the eyes.
"No clue blondie," I chuckled as I shot the last one.
We hurried her over to the cabin and boarded up the windows, locked the door, and all the other safety precautions.
"Who are you?" the old woman asked, sounding like we had just murdered her baby.
"Whoa there Bessie! It's common courtesy to introduce yourself first, graveyard. We DID just save your life, you should really work on your gratitude skills," Emily practically spit on her with utter disgust.
"Janis," the woman uttered.
"Good. I'm Jennifer and this is Laura," Emily fake smiled.
"Uh, yeah, that's me. Laura," I gave her a WTF look when Janis wasn't looking.
"Gimme water," Janis looked at Emily like she was a bug.
"Laura. A word please. That means go take a shit or something, graveyard," Emily hissed as Janis made her way to the bathroom.
"Fake names? What are you, 12?"
"17, smart one."
"Why'd you want to talk to in private?"
"I can't handle that hag for 5 seconds, let alone long term. Either she leaves or she gets a knife in the head."
"She is ungrateful… Okay, when she finishes she goes."
"Ungrateful is a word. So is bitch. That's not the point, how do we get rid of her? She doesn't seem like the type to be not argumentative about everything."
"We just tell her, leave or die I guess," I sighed. I wanted to give Janis a chance, but she was just so not… bearable.
"What are you youngings talking about?" Janis hissed as she exited the water closet. She really looked grotesque, and almost like a walker with the bite on her…
"YOU'RE BITTEN!" I shouted as I pointed out the tiny bite on her arm.
When I said that, she was on me like a cat, with a gun to my head and spitting all over my face.
"You better give me all of your food and weapons before I kill your friend," Janis hissed as she gave Emily a wicked glare.
"I would listen to a threat like that. IF, I had known Rose for more than half a day. Go ahead, kill her. I don't care. Because you know what? I'm a lot faster than you, all I need is in my pack, and I can just leave you with the herd that you'll attract with that gunshot. So you're actually the one that can pick: Walking out of here alive with your gun, or being eaten and never seeing the light of day again. You're choice," Emily's words were cold, with no care for anyone. Just hate.
Janis hissed again and got off of me, and ran off out of the cabin.
"I knew that would get her. You want a towel?" Emily burst out laughing.
"Yeah," I took the towel and wiped my face. "How'd you know that would work?"
"I didn't."
"Dick. Move."
Again, short, but I'm working on it! Since I got my partner I've got a lot of great ideas, but I also need his approval before posting, so that's why it took a while. Chapter 5 will be much longer! I hope... ._.
